Understanding Prosperity.
Prosperity is the gift of God (Ecclesiastes chapter 5, verse 19). - AND AS TO MAN, WHO GAVE RICHES AND FARM AND GIVEN HIM TO EAT THEM TO EAT AND TAKE HIS PORTION, AND ENJOY OF HIS WORK, THAT IS THE GIFT OF GOD.
To thrive means to be successful, to obtain good results, to be happy. This gift comes from God, and only He can prosper man (James chapter 1, verse 17). Only God can give riches, farm and complete prosperity. The devil will never give anything to man. What he offers is a bait, for he is the worst shrink ever.
Many have paid dearly, even with their own lives, what they think they have achieved with the help of the evil one. Prosperity is more than money: it is fulfillment, happiness, peace, work (with pleasure, knowing how to enjoy it), eating and having moments of individual and family leisure.
Also from God is power, man's ability to take his portion. That is, there is our part (do not let the devil steal it), the part of Caesar, which are the taxes, taxes and other taxes, as well as what we consume (Matthew chapter 22, verse 21), and Part of God, which are tithes and high offerings (idem).
See the examples:
1) The garden of Eden (delight, paradise) that God created. (Genesis chapter 2, verses 8 and 9);
2) Abraham, who was rich, and wanted only that which came from God (Genesis chapter 13, verses 2,5 and 6, chapter 14, verses 22 to 24);
3) Jacob, who had nothing, took the vow of tithing and prospered (Genesis chapter 28, verses 20 to 22, chapter 30, verse 43);
4) Solomon, who preferred the wisdom of God and became rich (1 Kings chapter 3, verses 5, 9, 10, 13, chapter 10, verses 23 and 24;
5) Job, who feared God and even after having lost his possessions, had everything doubled by him (Job chapter 1, verses 1 to 3, chapter 42, verses 10 to 12).
Understand that some were called to leave their possessions and serve God (Luke chapter 5, verses 27 and 28, chapter 9, verses 2 and 3, chapter 18, verse 22), while others serve God with their possessions (Luke Chapter 8, verses 1 to 3, Matthew chapter 26, verse 18. I think it cost dearly to prepare that supper with breads, lambs, etc. for Jesus, the disciples and other guests).
Read Matthew chapter 25, verse 21. God will put you on the lot because you are faithful and will continue to be, even if you prosper a lot. Or does God want to prosper the unbeliever who will turn his back on him in the time of plenty? (Psalms chapter 113, verses 7 and 8): "From the dust raise up the little one and from the dunghill raise up the needy to make him sit with the princes, even with the princes of his people." , Psalms chapter 35, verse 27b: "The LORD that loveth the prosperity of his servant be magnified." Understand?
