Who does not like money?

It is common for people to say that money is not a problem, but a solution. There is a biblical verse that seems to corroborate this popular thought: "money attends to everything."

If we take literally the expression found in Ecclesiastes, we can create the illusion that it is enough to have enough money for all our needs to be met, and we know that this is not true.

"The feast is made to laugh, wine rejoices life, and money attends to everything." (Ecclesiastes 10:19)
The verse in question speaks of the fun that a party can bring and the euphoria and joy that drinks like wine can provoke in our organism. However, the message is simple: with the money you promote all this and in the absence of it, there is no party and no drink.
The Word of God recognizes the importance of money in man's life, but not overestimation. For example, at the same time that we are aware of its usefulness and relevance, we are warned that its scope is limited. Just as the time comes for the party to end and the effect of the drink as well, so does everything else that money can buy. Money is able to give us moments of fun and joy that bring the sensation of happiness, the problem is that these moments depend on the constant consumption or acquisition of things or in the case of parties, the attention and company of people to exist.
There is no intention in this biblical text to define whether one thing or another is or is not a sin. What exists is an invitation to think about the place that money occupies in our life and its real use. If many demonize the faith and money relationship, the Bible does not. The Holy Scriptures use the value we give to material elements as a yardstick for assessing our spiritual condition.
God bless us with our faith in Jesus.
