Adam's disobedience in Éden Part 2.
Genesis 2: 16 Genesis 3: 11-17
Gen. 2: 16-17 - And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou wouldest freely eat. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat thereof; For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Gen. 3: 11-12 And God said, Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat? And Adam said, The woman whom thou gavest me to be with her, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
And Adam said, Because thou hast heard the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee, saying, Ye shall not eat of it, cursed is the land for thy sake; In pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Nothing says it was the apple.
Eva, was completely cheated. By the words of the serpent. Eve came to believe that God was holding her down and ignorant. Thus he came to regard disobedience, the independence of God, as the way to happiness. Even Eve eating there was no fall, disobedience, death, sin. Because?
Because God commanded, Adam counseled. He was directly responsible for maintaining the order not to eat in order not to die, that is, to live apart from communion, from the will of God. Adam knew the consequences.
Already Eva was deceived, deceived, passed behind. God had not taken Eve's responsibility.
Adam voluntarily decided to eat, to live independent of God, was not deceived.
The fruit of the knowledge of good and evil symbolized the disobedience that brought sin, spiritual death, separation, isolation, evil into the spirit of the human being. Adam really came to understand what was wrong (disobeying God) and what was right (obeying God).
Remembering that what Adam and Eve did by eating a real but divinely forbidden fruit meant rebellion against the sovereignty of the Most High.
We must wish to make our determination to remain loyal subjects of our Creator. We should never want to be deceived, thinking that the laws of God are unjust and not aimed at our best interests. It does not matter what circumstances develop.
We, unlike Adam, must keep before us the fact that God can bless and bless his devoted servants, those who seek to have faith. We have the biblical assurance, confirmed by numerous examples throughout human history that Jehovah God is the "rewarder of those who earnestly seek him." - Heb. 11: 6.
After Eden, to this day, misery, scarcity, slavery, death, wars, suffering, disease, violence, evil in this world are consequences of Adam's disobedience.
The Lord Jesus was born among us to get rid of this consequence.
God bless us with our faith in Jesus.
